Aurora created recommendations for the rehabilitation of WLs from 8” to 30” under a comprehensive Master Plan spanning Phase I/II. The initiative began with a desktop analysis of the system, reviewing as-builts, break, and repair history, and interviewing operators to identify high-maintenance components. Examination of available Rights of Way and as-builts helped identify areas where inspections might require system modifications or cause significant public impacts. Based on the findings, recommendations were provided for the City-owned sub-systems on whether to replace or inspect certain components, aiming to enhance the reliability and efficiency of the water supply network.
